We've decided to showcase our little Dixie poochie with her own little "dog blog". She's the light of our life. Don't let that little face fool you -- she'd take a chunk of your ankle if her mouth wasn't so flat! (That's even with a few teeth missing and really just one little fang left.)
Dixie is about 12 year's old now and most times acts like she's still just a puppy. The times we can really tell she's aged is after chasing rabbits and squirrels around the back yard, back and forth along the fence until she drops. While she foams at the mouth, we attempt to calm her down from all the excitement of the chase! We like to travel a lot and always need to find a place for Dixie to stay while we're away. It's a little "challenging" as most people are a little afraid of her because she takes about 2-3 days to warm up to you if you have her full time. So until she warms up to you, she may not eat or drink anything and possibly make herself sick because she's so scared.
You should see her when she's ready to go to bed ... she looks at you and slowly walks down the hall to the bedroom. I guess that's better training than a child might have!
